Everything You Need to Know About Motion
What is a private beta test ?
A private beta test is a way that we can release the software so that only a limited number of users can access it and more importantly test it. Once the final product is ready the private beta will cease and Motion will be released for every underdog to use to analyse their video and enhance their performance.
- Individual athletes use Motion to learn about and improve their performance, analyze their technique, converse with their coach on-line and keep a record of their videos to see how they are improving over time.
- Coaches use Motion to monitor their athletes (no matter their location) and provide them with the critical and accurate feedback that their athletes need to improve their performance.
- Teams use Motion to share video footage of game plays, practices, and performances and to analyze their team's technique.
- Athletes, coaches and support people use Motion to analyze the opposition's techniques and games to learn about their strengths and weaknesses and then develop a winning personal, team, game or performance strategy
How Can You Analyze and Time-Tag Your Video Like a Professional?
Motion gives you the tools the professionals use. The biomechanical analysis allows you to draw, write and measure directly on the video frames to highlight and focus on specific factors. To be able to do this you need to set up time-tags that tell you about the part of the video segment that you are drawing on. Motion's biomechanical tools include:
- drawing and measuring horizontal and vertical lines
- drawing and measuring angles
- drawing circles
- inserting text on to the video
- using different colours to highlight specific attributes moves
Time-Tagging allows you to identify and label specific video segments that may recur throughout the video. To develop your winning strategy, you can time-tag by player, exercise or even by move, to provide you with endless information about you, your team and even your opposition. Just set up your time-tags (e.g. jump, side step and/or shot), watch your video and click on a time-tag label to attach a time-tag. Once 'tagged' you can:
- play, pause, go frame by frame or use slow motion
- look at one tag over and over again to see the exact movement
- look at all of the same tag types one after the other e.g. all of the jumps or sidesteps play one after the other
When our founder Joe Cole was younger he wanted the ability to analyze his own training video clips to improve his performance, but couldn't due to the price. He then developed his own performance enhancing software system which included video analysis and time-tagging. Joe says: "We developed Motion to help all athletes and teams". To ensure that EVERY underdog could access Motion we made this essential tool as affordable as possible. We are serious about helping others improve, we just hope that you are serious about improving your performance and unleashing your true sporting potential.
What are the plans and what else can you choose?
- The underdog athlete plan provides you with 1Gb of video storage per month that you can analyze, and you or your 'friends' have about 1,000 views of your videos per month
- The underdog team plan provides you with more; 10Gb of storage and about 5,000 views per month
- We even developed a broke plan for those without the cash, but still want to view others' videos
- You choose your length of membership; from one month to one year
- You choose to upgrade or extend your membership at anytime
- You can even request a ground breaker plan if you need a lot of storage and viewing power
Immediately after you sign-up, you can upload and then share your videos. Just select the friends, coaches or experts that you want to share with or who will provide the analysis you need to improve. You can be anywhere while you or your coach easily and conveniently analyze your technique, your team's performance or even your opposition's. Being on-line means you get instantaneous results about your technique to improve your performance faster.
To share your videos with others for viewing or analysis just:
- Make sure that they are signed up as existing Motion members
- Log on to Motion, search for their name and add them to your "Friends" list
- Upload or select a video and click 'share'
- Select only the friends that you want to share that particular video with
- Then, when the selected friends log on to Motion, your video will appear in their 'other videos' section. They can then check out the analysis, do the analysis themselves or just be in plain awe of you!!!
Your videos are stored on Motion for as long as you are a paying underdog member. If you fill up your memory and don't want to remove any videos, just upgrade to a bigger plan with more storage. If you forget to pay you will no longer have access to your videos. However, if you want your access back just sign up on one of the affordable plans.
80/20 rule you may be saying? No, this is the 20/80 rule because with most software products, only as little as 20% of the features are actually used; wasting your money and time. Motion includes only the essential features making it faster to learn and faster to use. Being on-line you can use it more often and get more out of it than with other software. It is so simple. There is no training manual and if you are unsure of the button functions hold your mouse over them for an explanation of how to use it. If you are still not convinced of how easy it is then just try the FREE DEMO and see for yourself.
To get started with Motion all you need is:
- A modern browser and flash version 8 or above (yes, most computers have these) with enough bandwidth to upload/download a video file
- A video of you, your competition or even another athlete to upload
- To choose your plan and membership length
- To get analyzing with your gutsy underdog attitude and win no matter what
