Motion collects user submitted information such as username, name, and email address, to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to Motion's service.

Motion also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the site. User Profile information including first names, last name and e-mail addresses are displayed to people in order to facilitate searches for friends to create the ability to share videos. E-mail addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join Motion, to inform members of updated comments about a video, and to send notifications related to the service.

Motion members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated invitation system. Their information is not used by Motion unless they choose to become a member.
